A taxa de mitose foi baixa. A case of anaplastic malignant melanoma in a year-old gray mare is described. Clinical signs included depression, progressive weight loss, fever, anorexia, and dyspnea. Multiple circumscribed or infiltrative, pigmented, and non-pigmented tumors were observed in subcutaneous tissue and in several organs. Histological examination revealed a marked variation in neoplastic cell population, which was composed by spindle, round, polyhedrical, and less frequently, multinucleated or signet ring cells.

The diagnostic was based up on clinical and pathological findings, and confirmed by transmission electronic microscopy.

Full Text Available Objetivo: Full Text Available The clinical identification of amelanotic malignant melanoma AMM and hypomelanotic malignant melanoma HMM becomes difficult due to the lack of pigmentation and to the diverse clinical presentations.

Dermoscopy is very useful in these cases, increasing the level of suspicion of malignancy. We report 4 cases of amelanotic malignant melanoma and hypomelanotic malignant melanoma with characteristic dermoscopic findings.

Dermoscopy under polarized light demonstrates vascular polymorphism, globules and milky-red areas, in addition to chrysalis and multiple blue-gray dots.

Estudos utilizando a flarefotometria confirmam o aumento do “flare” em olhos com tumores intra-oculares malignos e benignos.

Os olhos normais contralaterais foram utilizados como controles. O valor da flarefotometria foi maior nos olhos com melanoma maligno e nevo quando comparado com os olhos contralaterais normais pIntroduction: Malignant intraocular tumors are associated with an increase in the aqueous flare, caused by alterations of the blood-ocular barriers through various mechanisms. Several studies have demonstrated an ocular flare increase using flare photometry in eyes with benign and malignant tumors.

To evaluate flare photometry as an adjunct method in the differential diagnosis of choroidal malignant melanoma and choroidal nevus comparing to normal control eyes. The fellow normal eyes were used. Se presenta el seguimiento del paciente y los estudios de imagen indicados. Full Text Available Objetivos: Se incluyeron los siguientes datos: Se calcularon porcentajes por sexo y grupo de edad. The histopathological diagnosis of melanocytic lesions may be very difficult, even by experts within the field.

The goal of this study was to develop a method of systematic application of histopathological criteria as a result of the most relevant microscopic characteristics. The most important criteria to diagnosing melanoma on histopathological bases were selected and given points ranging from 1 to 5 according to their relevance to the melanoma diagnosis.

Pigmented basal cell carcinoma mimicking a superficial spreading melanoma. Lentigo maligno na face: Malignant eccrine poroma Poroma ecrino maligno. Full Text Available We report on the case of a 47 year-old man with the diagnosis of malignant eccrine poroma, located on the right foot; he died from metastatic lesions affecting inguinal region, lungs, liver and central nervous system. Clinical and histopathologic findings are discussed. A review Is Included on sweat gland carcinomas.

To study the incidence of eyelid malignant tumors in the Banco de Olhos Hospital of Porto Alegre from to We retrospectivelly analyzed clinical archives and in this study all cases of malignant eyelid tumors with histopathologic examination were included.

We found 54 eyelid tumors: The diagnosis was confirmed in all cases through histopathologic examination. Basal cell carcinoma was the most frequent eyelid malignancy followed by squamous cell carcinoma. Melanoma was the third most frequently found tumor in our study. En Colombia el MM se encuentra en aumento, con una incidencia de 3. Todos os casos eram unilaterais. To study pre-operatively and post-operatively ultrasound biomicroscopy UBM findings of iris and ciliary body melanomas and correlate tumor extension revealed by ultrasound biomicroscopy with histopathology findings.

Prospective study of 5 patients with a clinical diagnosis of iris and ciliary body tumors.

Pathology Outlines – Breslow system for tumor thickness

These patients were evaluated by ultrasound biomicroscopy before and after treatment with iridectomy or iridociclectomy. All specimens were sent. Estudio sobre los tumores malignos maxilofaciales.

An analytical study of the maxillofacial region malignant tumors treated in the Maxillofacial Surgery Service of Artemisa municipality was conducted from Males were the most affected; skin tumors were the most frequent, a higher percentage of white people were affected and the most observed histological type was the basal cell carcinoma. The most common location in the oral cavity was the lower lip and the most predominant histological type was the epidermoid carcinoma. Schwannoma retroperitoneal maligno Malign retroperitoneal schwannoma.

The retroperitoneal tumors are infrequent and are classified according to the original tissue. This is a case presentation of a patient presenting with pain in right hypochondrium and a tumor in this zone, weight loss and painful discomfort in the anterolateral face of right thigh. In physical examination we found cutaneous-mucous paleness and painless tumor in hypochondrium and right flank. Abdominal ultrasound US showed a homogenous mass of 14,11 cm and abdominal computed tomography allows to see a right retroperitoneal tumor rejecting the kidney.

Excretory urogram showed a anteromedial rejection of right kidney. An encapsulated tumor with a few peritumoral adherences was removed. By histological study it was possible to confirm a fusiform cells tumor with hyperchromatism and nuclear pleomorphism, numerous mitosis and areas of necrosis and in the diagnosis of malign tumor of the sheath of a peripheral nerve.

Conventional histopathology has been considered as the gold standard in the diagnosis of cutaneous malignant melanomadespite the progress of molecular biology and immunohistochemistry. There are many microscopic criteria for diagnosis of melanomahowever there is not a single one that can be useful to define malignancy. Our purpose is to analyse the criteria considered more important to the diagnosis of melanomacomparing their presence in benign melanocytic lesions and melanomas.

Some criteria showed high frequency in benign lesions, showing low-specificity, while others had low-positivity in the benign and high-frequency in malignant lesions, consequently high. Tanning-bed use contributes to this. Escleritis nodular posterior gigante compatible con sarcoidosis ocular simulando un melanoma de la coroides. Our aim was to identify and describe the main symptoms, clinical presentation, and radiographic changes in malignant mesothelioma MM patients.

We reviewed the medical and X-ray records of all patients diagnosed with MM, admitted between and to the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases INER, which is a governmental dr specialized in chest disease in Mexico City. The following data were collected: Age, occupation, asbestos exposure, latency, family history of cancer, clinical symptoms, and X-ray changes.

Data are presented as percentages by sex and age group.

El tratamiento debe ser escogido de forma individualizada, con base en la severidad de la enfermedad. Full Text Available Objetivos. Bresloa potential diagnostic pitfall in the histological assessment of melanomas is the difficulty in recognizing unusual melanoma variants.

Among them, the most challenging examples comprise desmoplastic melanomasnevoid melanomasthe so-called minimal-deviation melanomamelanomas with prominent pigment synthesis or animal-type melanomaand the malignant blue nevus. Two cases of animal type melanoma are reported and the importance of clinical-histopathological differential diagnosis is discussed.

It diminishes mainly positive false lesions. It identifies physiologic accumulate places. It diminishes in smaller grade mflanoma negative. Injuries with low grade concentration.

Breslow’s depth

Injure on intense activity areas. Precise anatomical localization of accumulate places. Reduction of the acquisition time. Adverse effects include arthralgia, fatigue, and skin toxicity; panniculitis is a rare complication. We present the case of a year-old patient with metastatic melanoma who developed painful subcutaneous nodules of the lower and upper limbs and associated systemic clinical symptoms after 2 weeks of treatment with vemurafenib plus cobimetinib.

Histology showed a septal and lobular lymphocytic panniculitis. The patient had poor tolerance of the full-dose treatment, requiring its adjustment. Systemic corticosteroids were required to control symptomatology. Entre y se trataron cerca de 50 enfermos con tumores cerebrales malignos. Ocho pacientes fallecieron[tiempo medio a la muerte: Full Text Available Malignant melanoma can present a variety of histopathological patterns. Cartilaginous change in the absence of osteogenic differentiation is extremely rare in malignant melanomabeing among the least frequent of the wide range of melanoma histologic patterns. We report a case of a year-old woman with a subungual nodule on her right great toe for many years.

Histopathological examination of the lesion led to a diagnosis of malignant melanoma with cartilaginous differentiation devoid of concomitant osseous areas. It would appear that this unusual form of melanoma has a predilection for acral location, particularly the subungual region. Malignant melanoma with chondroid stroma should therefore be considered in the differential diagnosis of cartilaginous lesions of the toes and fingers.

Careful examination of the overlying epidermis and identification of an in situ component of melanoma may be necessary in order to establish the correct diagnosis. The Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome NMS Is a rare, idiosyncratic and potentially fatal complication of therapy with many drugs affecting the dopaminergic system; It Includes extrapyramidal symptoms, signs of autonomic dysfunction, disorders of consciousness, leucocytosis and an increase in serum creatine phosphokinase. We report the case of a 32 years old man, who developed a severe catatonic syndrome after receiving high doses of potent neuroleptics to control a psychotic depression.
